A powerful movement
is in the making

the Miles of kindness movement is led by two friends on a mission to END the chronic blood shortage. Lori & Marie show us how one simple act of kinDness - blood donation - can change the world.

Two friends from Jersey are going on an adventure: Marie, a former journalist and lifelong blood donation advocate, and Lori, a former educator who lost her husband to cancer, will travel Route 66 collecting stories of kindness, connection, and community.

Lori and Marie’s goal is not only to inspire 2,500 blood donations — one for every mile they’ll travel — but to help end the chronic blood shortage by inspiring a new generation of lifelong blood donors across America.

A documentary crew will be following them along the way. The cross-country journey is July 7th-July 18th.

From Hometown to Highway: the official kick off

Before hitting Route 66, Lori and Marie were surrounded by the community that shaped them. Cranford’s incredible send-off was more than a celebration…it was the first spark of the movement. Thanks to Cranford TV35 for documenting this unforgettable start.
