Community Conversation in Bakersfield

  • Houchin Community Blood Bank 11515 Bolthouse Drive Bakersfield, California, 93311 United States (map)

Join Lori and Marie for a powerful community panel exploring the experiences of people who have been historically excluded or discouraged from donating blood. Hear diverse perspectives, learn about the science and policies behind blood donation, and take part in an important conversation about why education, facts, and awareness matter in building a stronger, more inclusive blood supply.

Community members are encouraged to join us for this special event whether they plan to donate blood or simply celebrate the conclusion of this incredible journey. Those wishing to donate are encouraged to arrive early, as Houchin Community Blood Bank will close to blood donations at 3:00 p.m. so the team can transition into the documentary filming and community celebration. Because the event will be filmed, attendees should be comfortable appearing on camera.
